ITINERARY
Day 1: ARRIVAL / ISTANBUL
Welcome to Istanbul! upon your arrival, you will be received and transferred to the hotel according to your chosen category. Accommodation. If your arrival is at Istanbul airport (IST) our representative will be waiting for you at your exit to the outside through gate number 8 with a sign of “Euroriente Travel”. If your arrival is at Istanbul airport (SAW) on the Asian side, our representative will be waiting for you, crossing the pedestrian crossing between column 9 and column 10 with the sign of “Euroriente Travel”.
Day 2: ISTANBUL / SULEIMAN THE MAGNIFICENT (B)
Breakfast. Departure to visit the mosque of Suleiman the Magnificent located on the third hill of Istanbul with one of the most well-known panoramas of the city, by order of Sultan Suleiman the Magnificent it was built by the famous imperial architect Sinan. After the visit you will have free time to enjoy the city on your own, or optionally hire a full-day visit to the Historical part of Istanbul where you can get to know Saint Sophia (exterior) culmination of Byzantine art, and the pearl of Istanbul. The famous Topkapi Palace, residence of the Ottoman sultans for four centuries. Enjoy a typical lunch in a local restaurant in the Sultanahmet area, contemplate the Blue Mosque, a prodigy of harmony, proportion and elegance; and the Hippodrome which preserves the Obelisk of Theodosius, the Serpentine Column, the Fountain of Emperor Wilhelm and the Egyptian Obelisk, at the end of the afternoon visit the famous Grand Bazaar where we will enjoy free time to get lost among its 4 thousand shops. Day 3: ISTANBUL / BOSPHORUS CRUISE / SPICE BAZAAR (B)
Breakfast. Departure to carry out one of the most famous activities of Istanbul, a boat ride on the Bosphorus, canal that separates Europe and Asia. During this journey you can see the palaces of the Sultans, old and typical wooden houses and enjoy history in a different way. Next, we will carry out one of the star visits, the spice bazaar, built by the Ottomans 5 centuries ago and used since then. Our included visit ends in the bazaar where you can enjoy its atmosphere and variety of shops. In the afternoon you can optionally take a visit with lunch to the Asian side of the city Visiting the palace of “Beylerbeyi”. Located on the Asian side of the Bosphorus. Former summer residence of the sultans of the Ottoman Empire, we can also visit the famous suspension bridge of the Bosphorus that connects the European side with the Asian side of the city, after Lunch we will visit the inforavaldorado district of Uskudar located on the Asian side to then go to Camlica Hill, one of the seven hills of the city and the highest point of Istanbul. At 268 meters above sea level, Camlica hill offers panoramic views of both sides of the city. At the end of the Day return to the Hotel. Dinner and accomodation.
Day 4: ISTANBUL / ANKARA (B - D)
Breakfast. Departure en route to Ankara passing through the mountains of Bolu, After arrival we will carry out a panoramic visit with our bus through the capital of the Turkish Republic and the second most populated city of Turkey (Ankara), a modern and cosmopolitan city filled with history and ancient culture. Visit to the Mausoleum Anitkabir symbol of Ankara, as it is the place where the founder of the Turkish Republic lies. At the end of the afternoon Arrival at our hotel Dinner and Accommodation.
Day 5: ANKARA / CAPPADOCIA (B - D)
Breakfast. Departure towards Cappadocia. En route we will see the second largest lake of Turkey. The Salt Lake and a caravanserai of the 13th century (medieval inn) Arrival in Cappadocia. Optionally you may hire a Jeep Safari excursion through Cappadocia, one of the most exciting adventures of Cappadocia, which will allow you to explore the region in an all-terrain vehicle, where you can reach unique landscapes of the formations and valleys of this region. Dinner and Accommodation.
Day 6: CAPPADOCIA (B - D)
Breakfast in the hotel. Visit of this fascinating region and of original landscape, formed by the lava thrown by the Erciyes and Hasan volcanoes 3 million years ago. We will visit the Göreme valley, incredible Byzantine monastic complex integrated by churches carved in the rock with beautiful frescoes. Next, we will visit the Avcillar and Góvercinlik Valley; where you can admire the best view of the volcanic formations called “fairy chimneys” We will visit the typical workshops of carpets, Onyx stones and Turquoise. Dinner and Accommodation.
Day 7: CAPPADOCIA / PAMUKKALE (B - D)
Breakfast in the hotel. Early departure towards Pamukkale. Arrival and visit of Hierapolis, ancient Hellenistic city that today lies in ruins. Visit to the famous Cotton Castle, natural wonder of gigantic white waterfalls, stalactites and Natural Pools formed over the centuries by the passage of waters loaded with calcareous salts coming from thermal springs. Arrival at the hotel Dinner and Accommodation.
Day 8: PAMUKKALE / EPHESUS / KUSADASI / OR IZMIR (B - D)
Breakfast in the hotel. Departure in the morning towards Ephesus Greco-Roman city, ancient capital of Asia Minor and one of the best preserved of antiquity where the Temple of Hadrian, Temple of Trajan, the theater and the Library of Celsus are found. Visit to the House of the Virgin Mary, place where she spent the last years of her life. We will continue visiting a leather shop where you can appreciate how the famous sheepskin garments of this region are made, at the end of the afternoon we continue towards Kusadasi or Izmir. Dinner in the hotel and Accommodation. (During the summer months from May - October lodging could be in Izmir and its surroundings instead of Kusadasi)
Day 9: KUSADASI / IZMIR / BURSA / ISTANBUL (B)
Breakfast. Departure towards Bursa, first capital of the Ottoman Empire. Visiting the Ulucamii Mosque, the Silk Bazaar of Kozaham and the Green Mausoleum. Continuation of the trip towards Istanbul, arrival and accommodation (On some departures for operational reasons the Izmir-Istanbul section could be carried out with domestic flight without passing through Bursa)
Day 10: ISTANBUL / AIRPORT. (B)
Breakfast and at the indicated time transfer to Istanbul airport. End of the services (Pick-up will be 4 hours before the international flight time, exact time will be confirmed through your destination assistant).
